Cooper Gap Rd to Double Gap Rd in North Georgia
I wanted to drive around North Georgia, and test out two things. The first thing was, I just rebuilt my valve body in my transmission and, I wondered how it would do off-road. The second thing was I just got a new cell phone, and a DJI gimbal to film my off-road adventures. I messaged a few of my buddies, and a friend/customer of mine said that he was going to be cruising around near the 4H camping/ ranger station area above Dahlonega, GA. I recently fixed his 4 wheel drive, resealed his front and rear difs, as well as running a new cable to his rear ox locker. We meet up with him in downtown Dahlonega, and made it to the trail head within a 20 mins. The link below has the track we took and some of the camp sites I marked along the way. The trails are SUPER easy and you get great views of creeks and mountains, and you will stumble across tons of hiking trails, including the beginning of the AT at Springer Mountain. I would suggest this area for overlanders, campers, beginners, and anyone just wanting a nice easy ride, with great views.
